Uusi elämä vanhoille kehyksille | New life for old frames

Löysin tämän ihanan vanhan kuvakehyksen vintin perältä. Sen kehystämä kuva oli jo kulahtanut, joten päätin antaa kehykselle kokonaan uuden elämän koirien hihnatelineenä.

I found this beautiful old frame from our attic. The photo it framed wasn't any more in any shape, so I decided to give the frame a totally new life.

Tarvikkeet | You'll need:

• Vanha kehys | Old frame
• Akryylimaalia | Acrylic paint
• Naula ja koukku | One nail and a hook
• Vasara | A hammer
• Paperia ja liimaa | Some paper and glue

Ensin puhdistin kehyksen pölystä harjaamalla sen kauttaaltaan kovalla siveltimellä. Sitten maalasin sen kahteen otteeseen akryylivärillä. | I started by cleaning the frame from dust with a hard brush. Once done I painted it with two coats of acrylic paint.

Leikkasin sitten kovalevystä palan, joka sopii kehykseen ja päällystin sen paperilla. Levyn voi myös toki maalata. Sitten naulasin sopivaan kohtaan naulan ja ripustin koukun siihen. Valmis!

Once the paint had dried, I cut a piece of hardboard to fit the frame and covered it with paper. You can also paint the board if you want - it's up to you! Then I measured the right place for the nail, hammered it in and put the hook on it. Tadah! You're done!

Eniten tässä vei aikaa maalin kuivumisen odottelu, joten pari päivää on hyvä varata tälle projektille. Itse toteutus onnistuu 20 minuutissa. Persoonallinen hihnateline pääsee tositoimiin eteisessämme tuoden sinne järjestystä, kun hihnat näin saavat roikkua omassa telineessään :) 

This project was easy and quick to make, only the paint took a day to dry well. The assembly itself took me 20 minutes. Now I finally have a hook to hang up the dog leashes :)
